The Pakistan Army’s media affairs department claimed on Friday that fourteen troops lost their lives when terrorists ambushed two security force vehicles in the Gwadar province of Balochistan.
As to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the cars were ambushed while en route from Pasni to Ormara. It added that in the “unfortunate incident,” 14 troops accepted martyrdom.
The ISPR stated, “Sanitization operations are being conducted in the area and those responsible for this horrible act will be apprehended and brought to justice.”

The statement said, “Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism from the nation, and such heroic sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
Jalil Abbas Jilani, the foreign minister, denounced the assault and stated that “such acts were reprehensible.”
“We are praying and thinking of the relatives of the injured and martyred. In a post on the social media site X, he declared, “Pakistan is steadfast in its opposition to terrorism.”
Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on our soldiers which resulted in the martyrdom of 14 brave sons of the soil. Such acts are utterly reprehensible. Our thoughts and prayers are with families of the martyred and injured. Pakistan stands resolute against terrorists

The incident was also denounced by Ali Mardan Khan Domki, the acting chief minister of Balochistan. He called the attack on the jawans, who are tasked with defending the public’s property and lives, “a cowardly act,” in a statement.
In addition to expressing his sorrow to the families of the fallen servicemen, Domki paid respect to them. He described acts of terrorism as a plot to undermine the province’s peace and stated that permission would not be granted to undermine the peace that had been achieved with great effort.
In a “cowardly attack,” militants ambushed soldiers, according to PPP Chairman Bilawal-Bhutto Zardari. Bilawal vowed to keep fighting terrorism until the “last militant is eradicated” in remembrance of the fallen soldiers.

This occurred just hours after a police-targeted bombing in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, left five people dead and over twenty injured.
Terrorist activity in Pakistan has increased recently, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is because the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan’s truce with the government expired in November of last year.
Up to twelve Pakistan Army troops accepted martyrdom in July during distinct combat missions in Balochistan’s Zhob and Sui regions.
The Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) released data in September that indicated the amount of militant attacks in August was the highest monthly total in nearly nine years.
The study stated that there were 99 attacks nationwide, which is the most in a single month since November 2014.
