Five Family Members Shot Dead in Batkhela
Batkhela: A tragic incident unfolded in Kunda village on Friday when a man opened fire inside his in-laws’ home, leaving five family members dead.
Police said the suspect, identified as Mansoor, stormed into the house and started shooting indiscriminately before fleeing the scene. Rescue 1122 teams later shifted the bodies to DHQ Hospital Batkhela.
The victims were identified as Mansoor’s 18-year-old wife, Nazish; her father, 58-year-old Shah Zameen Gul; her grandmother, 75-year-old Meher Zamina; her grandfather, 85-year-old Saeed Gul; and another relative, 55-year-old Ameer Zadgai.
According to investigators, Mansoor had married Nazish only a few months ago. However, differences arose between the couple, leading Nazish to leave his home and return to her parents.
Police have registered a case under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched a search operation to arrest the suspect.
