The Transformers movies are famous for big robot fights and lots of action. Now, the original director, Michael Bay, might come back to work on a new Transformers movie.
Michael Bay directed the first five Transformers films, starting with the first one in 2007, which starred Shia LaBeouf. His third movie in the series, Dark of the Moon (2011), made over $1.1 billion and is still the most successful one.
According to a new report, Bay gave Paramount Pictures a new idea for a Transformers movie last year. He is helping as a hands-on producer, and he might even direct the movie again.
Bay has already asked writer Jordan VanDina to work on the script. But we don’t know the story or the characters yet.
Since Bay stopped directing, the Transformers movies haven’t made as much money. If he returns, it might bring back more fans and make the movies popular again.
Paramount is also working on another big movie that will combine Transformers and G.I. Joe, which means even more action is coming.
Michael Bay is still very busy. He is working with Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney on a live-action movie based on the video game OutRun. He is also producing a movie based on the viral YouTube show Skibidi Toilet.
If Bay returns to Transformers, fans can expect the same exciting action and big explosions that made the early movies so famous.
