Significant deals between Pakistani IT businesses and major Saudi Arabian and international companies have been made during the LEAP tech show in Riyadh. This event, which takes place from March 4 to March 7, features the newest technologies and technology. Participating from all around the world are 600 startups and over 1,800 exhibitors.
The P@SHA chairman, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, stated that the conference this year is quite important. With the successful completion of LEAP 2023 last year, $9 billion in IT contracts were awarded to Pakistani firms. Last year, Pakistani firms received leads valued at over $100 million. This year, 70 Pakistani companies—20 of which are startups—are taking part, marking the biggest number of Pakistani companies involved in this international industry to date.
There are 27 firms at the Pakistan Pavilion, and additional Pakistani participants are drawing interest from prominent international IT companies as well as Gulf government officials. In an effort to boost commercial interactions, P@SHA and the Bahraini IT Association have reached their largest-ever agreement. Abacus Consulting and Elm, a Saudi digital solutions business, and Inbox Technologies and GISSAN, a Saudi Arabian organization, are two notable agreements.
SuperNova Solutions inked an equity collaboration with Saudi investors at the Pakistan Pavilion, which was opened by Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq. According to Farooq, there is a great deal of room for improved IT collaboration between Pakistan and the Middle East, especially in light of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify its economy. Pakistani businesses are exhibiting blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other technologies.
To increase Pakistan IT impact in the Middle East, especially in Saudi Arabia, Pakistani companies must be well-represented at LEAP 2024. In an effort to strengthen IT sector connections between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the event also included the Saudi-Pak Tech Forum.
Pakistani enterprises have a wonderful chance to showcase their expertise and discover new opportunities in the area at the LEAP exhibition, since the country’s IT sector is one of the top five export industries and is seeing substantial development.
