On Wednesday, Pakistan and the Netherlands reached a consensus over the importance of strengthening their bilateral ties and looking into new business ventures in areas of shared interest.
Ambassador Henny de Vries reportedly called Minister of Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb to discuss issues of common interest and fortify the very strong relations that already exist between Pakistan and the Netherlands, according to a news release from the ministry of finance.
The minister greeted the ambassador with great warmth and thanked him for the long-standing friendship and collaboration between the two nations. He emphasized the significance of the bilateral partnership, which is based on common principles and a track record of cooperation.
The structural changes Pakistan is putting into place to ensure budgetary sustainability and foster economic growth were also discussed.
The minister emphasized that Pakistan was keen to acquire technology and capitalize on the Netherlands’ experience in agricultural, dairy, and farm production, since these may result in higher output and exports, which would have a substantial impact on Pakistan’s economy.
In response, Ambassador de Vries emphasized that the Netherlands is dedicated to advancing collaboration with Pakistan in a number of areas. She also commended the government’s efforts to overhaul the economy’s main banking and economic sectors.
The ambassador also gave information on the Dutch government’s experimental initiatives in Pakistan, which include fish farming, efforts to manage water in agriculture, and labor and environmental norms in the textile industry.
She reaffirmed the Netherland dedication to advancing these projects and enhancing collaboration in other areas of shared interest.
