Bilawal Demands Flood Aid Karachi Fixes & Farmer Support

Bilawal Calls for Local-Focused Policies, Aid for Flood Victims, and Solutions for Karachi

ISLAMABAD – Addressing a press conference, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called for decisions that prioritize the welfare of local communities.

Speaking on national security, Bilawal criticized outlawed groups for siding with India in the past. He emphasized ongoing efforts to dismantle Indian networks operating in the country.

Highlighting the plight of flood victims in Punjab, Bilawal urged the federal government to provide them assistance through the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). “Why is this not being done?” he questioned, stressing the need for a policy review.

He also called on the government to appeal to the international community for aid to support affected populations.

Turning to Karachi, Bilawal noted the city’s persistent challenges, lamenting that despite building new roads, they are often dug up soon after. He said he would ask the Sindh Chief Minister to coordinate with federal authorities to address the city’s issues.

On agriculture, Bilawal announced that the Sindh government plans to unveil a new support package for the province’s farmers.
