A blast has occurred near the Sindh Rangers vehicle in the Orangi Town area of Karachi on Monday.
According to the details, three paramilitary soldiers and civilians got serious injuries during the incident,
however, one of the paramilitary soldiers passed away while they have shifted to the hospital.
The other injured treated for their injuries.
Police said that the Rangers vehicle has targeted in Orangi Town no. 5.
Moreover, the blast took place on a busy street in the area.
Police said the blast could have been caused by a bomb planted on the road or explosive material installed on a motorcycle near the site.
However, it couldn’t be verified further.
Heavy contingents of security officials have cordoned off the area and further investigation is underway.
The law enforcers are collecting circumstantial evidence from the site.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail termed the blast a “matter of great concern”.
In a tweet, he said that an immediate inquiry is “essential”.
He also directed that medical aid should provide to the injured people.
“We realize [the Rangers’] sacrifices for restoration of peace in Karachi,” he said.
