A US politician from Missouri stated in a statement on Thursday night that while serving as missionaries in Haiti, his daughter and son-in-law were murdered by gangs.
Representative Ben Baker, a Republican, commented in a statement: “As most of you are aware, my daughter Davy and son-in-law Natalie Lloyd are full-time missionaries in Haiti. This evening, gangs ambushed them, killing them both. Together, they entered heaven.
Since February, when armed individuals attacked airports and seized police stations in Port au Prince, the capital of the Caribbean nation has been engulfed in mayhem.
“Please pray for my family; we sorely need strength,” Ben Baker continued. And please remember the Lloyd family in your prayers. Right now, I’m at a loss for words.
His son-in-law Davy and daughter Natalie were employed by the charity Missions in Haiti. The couple was attacked by a gang of three trucks full of men after leaving the church, according to their social media post.
It was stated that Davy was brought to a residence, restrained, and assaulted before the gang took everything the group owned, including their trucks.
“After that gang left the area, another arrived with one member being shot and killed, causing them to go into full attack mode,” the charitable organization added.
The couple used Starlink internet to ask for assistance, but finally, the gangs killed them because they kept shooting at the residence.
