ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s cement industry posted a significant export growth of 23.75% during the fiscal year 2024-25, reaching $329.795 million, up from $266.516 million in the previous year, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
In terms of volume, cement exports also jumped by 28.71%, rising from 7.08 million metric tons in FY2023-24 to 9.12 million metric tons in FY2024-25.
The momentum continued into the final month of the fiscal year. Cement exports in June 2025 soared by 40.81% year-on-year, hitting $41.848 million compared to $29.719 million in June 2024.
On a month-to-month basis, exports rose 22.23% in June 2025, up from $34.236 million in May 2025, showcasing sustained demand in international markets.
Overall, Pakistan’s exports across all sectors also saw a 4.67% increase during FY2024-25, reaching $32.106 billion, up from $30.675 billion last year.
However, the country’s imports also climbed by 6.57%, rising to $58.380 billion from $54.779 billion a year earlier, PBS data showed.
