Mashorda’s County Gardens:
Secondly, Mashorda’s County Gardens closed in August 2016 after 67 years in business. It was opened in 1949 by Ray Mashorda Sr. Moreover, His son, Ray Jr., took over in the late 1990s and ran it until it closed. Since closing, the site has been home to a fresh produce stand and, occasionally, a Chick-Fil-A food truck. Chick-Fil-A has sites in two sites in Boardman – on U.S. Route 224 and inside the Southern Park Mall – as well as in Howland and at Youngstown State University.
