Three children killed, going home from school

Haripur: Three school children were killed while six others injured. When the tractor-trolley they were riding overturned near-beer village, some 45km from here on Monday.

The reason behind the accident of children was reckless driving, police and eyewitnesses said.

The tractor driver had offered a lift to the children and they were all riding joyfully in the trolley.

However, when the tractor reached Makki Masjid Beer Bazar driver lost his control, and the tractor along with the trolley, where children were, fell into a deep gorge.

The witnesses said that some children from Government Higher secondary school for Boys Beer were on the way to their homes in the neighboring villages after school time.

The police further added, they were in a tractor-trolley bearing registration No 2670 LAH.

When the trolley reached Maki Masjid stop outside the Beer Bazaar, shared police.

They also said, the driver lost control of the steering while saving two motorcyclists.

The trolley overturned killing three schoolboys (children) on the spot while six others were injured critically.

The Police and locals immediately shifted the bodies and the injured to Haripur Trauma Centre.

Those who passed away at the spot were identified as Naeem, Mishal residents of village Dalri and Ahsan Shah of That Syedan village who all were 10th graders.
