Amid military duty, BTS Jungkook "trades" a microphone for an apron

Jungkook of BTS is allegedly a cook in the military, not a soldier.

Following his completion of recruit training camp, the Butter hitmaker is presently employed as a cook in the military, according to reports from AllKpop on Wednesday citing sources close to the industry and relevant authorities.

Days after the member of a highly regarded boy band gave fans an update on his health and hinted, “I’m cooking well,” rumors about his function as a cook immediately began to circulate. The proof followed.

He wrote, “How are you, ARMY? ” on March 16. I’m doing fairly well. I’ve been working out consistently.”

He said on Weverse, “We’ve been doing thorough cleaning, even up to the ceilings.”

Furthermore, the 26-year-old rapper and musician from South Korea has already demonstrated his culinary prowess on his own shows on the South Korean website.

Along with some of his own recipes, the Dynamite singer also provided recipes for makguksu, bulgogi, cup noodle fried rice, and ramen porridge.

By June 11, 2025, the number-one song on the Standing Next To You chart is anticipated to be released from his required military duty.

Together with his bandmate Jimin, he enlisted in the Army in December 2023 at the Army 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do.
