CJCSC Visits Doha for Pakistan-Qatar Military Cooperation Talks

Doha — The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad, is in Doha to take part in the second round of the Higher Military Cooperation Committee (HMCC) meeting between Pakistan and Qatar, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.

During the talks, both sides reviewed the changing security landscape in the region and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to maintaining peace and stability at both regional and global levels.

General Shamshad highlighted the historic and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar, while exploring new opportunities for defence and security collaboration under the HMCC framework.

Qatar’s civil and military leadership acknowledged Pakistan’s key role in promoting regional stability and praised the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.

Earlier, upon his arrival at the Qatar Armed Forces Headquarters, General Shamshad was received with a “Guard of Honour” by a smartly turned-out military contingent.
