COAS Asim Munir Reaffirms Army’s Commitment to Peace and Development in Balochistan

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has said that the Pakistan Army is fully committed to fighting terrorism and helping in the progress of Balochistan.

He said this during a session with the participants of the 16th National Workshop in Balochistan. The audience included politicians, civil society members, government officers, teachers, media workers, and youth.

General Munir strongly condemned India for supporting terrorist groups to harm peace in Balochistan. He said India is using these groups in a failed attempt to weaken the love for Pakistan among the people of Balochistan.

He referred to the Indian actions as part of a “hybrid war” against Pakistan and said such attempts would fail just like they did in the past. He mentioned the defeat India faced in “Ma’arka-e-Haq” and said similar humiliation awaits Indian proxies.

The Army Chief added that terrorism does not belong to any religion, sect, or ethnic group. He called for unity among all Pakistanis to fight against terrorism.

He also highlighted the importance of development in Balochistan and said different institutions must work together to improve the province’s future and ensure national unity.

COAS Munir said Pakistan wants peace in the region but is ready to defend itself against any internal or external threat. He assured that the army will continue to protect the country’s pride and its people.

The session ended with a friendly and open discussion between the Army Chief and the participants.
