Police Constable Martyred in Gun Attack in Domel
BANNU – A police constable was martyred after unknown assailants opened fire on him within the limits of Domel Police Station.
According to police, the officer, identified as Constable Abdul Quddus of DSP Sub-Division Wazir Circle, sustained critical injuries in the attack. Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the spot and shifted him to the Rural Health Center (RHC) Domel, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
The attackers managed to escape after the shooting. A heavy contingent of police reached the area, cordoned it off, and launched a search operation to track down the culprits.
The incident comes just a day after terrorists carried out separate assaults on the Levies and police posts in Zhob and Bannu. In Zhob’s Sherani Town Headquarters, one police officer, Altaf, was martyred and a Levies personnel was injured during the attack, according to SP Nasrullah Malik.
