Pakistan had opened registrations for citizens aged 19 and above for the Covid-19 vaccine on May 16. The duration between the two doses is 12 weeks for AstraZeneca, 3 weeks for Sinopharm, and 4 weeks for Sinovac.
Umar had explained that the government was opening up registrations for more age groups as Pakistan’s Covid-19 vaccine supply continues to improve and the country’s vaccination capacity gets enhanced day by day.
Previously, Pakistan had opened registration for the vaccination of people aged between 40 to 49 years across the country. Initiated walk-in vaccinations for people of the same age group.
The country, since the beginning of the Covid-19 vaccine drive in February which first opened for healthcare workers, has inoculated more than 4.7 million people, with 211,986 jabs counted in the last 24 hours.
The registration process for the Covid-19 vaccine
The federal government has launched a digital portal. A code confirms the registration of a person. People can also message their CNIC number on 1166 and register for the vaccine. The vaccine aspirants will have to carry their valid passport, visa, or iqama to the vaccination center. The statement said, adding that once we administer the Covid-19 vaccine, NADRA will issue a certificate on its website.
They can then go to a designated vaccination center and get a jab.
