The New Zealand team for the T20I series against Pakistan has been announced

The fifteen-player team for New Zealand Cricket’s (NZC) next five-match Twenty20 International series against Pakistan has been revealed.

For the first time, Michael Bracewell will be in charge of the New Zealand squad. Bracewell was chosen following a year-long absence owing to an Achilles rupture and a fractured finger.

For the first time, Tim Robinson of Wellington and Will O’Rourke of Canterbury have been called up to the T20I team.

Due to their responsibilities in the continuing Indian Premier League, Trent Boult, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitch Santner, and Kane Williamson were unable to play.

Tom Latham was not available because he was waiting for the birth of his second child, and Will Young was not available because he signed a winter contract with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

Tim Southee was left off the roster to give him more time to recover after a demanding schedule of playing in a variety of forms. Moreover, Colin Munro was not given any consideration for the position.

The Blackcaps are set to play three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium on April 18, 20, and 21 after arriving in Islamabad on April 14. The teams will go to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for the remaining two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) on April 25 and 27 after these games.
