Ishaq Dar Demands Gaza Ceasefire Backs Palestine at Global Meet

Ishaq Dar Says Gaza Needs Help and Justice Now

At an important meeting held by Saudi Arabia and France, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar spoke strongly about the situation in Gaza. He said Gaza has become a graveyard for human rights, and people there are suffering badly.

Dar asked for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. He also said people in Gaza must get food and humanitarian aid without delay.

He said war crimes in Gaza must be punished, and the ongoing violence against innocent people should stop now.

“The problem of Palestine has lasted more than 75 years,” he said. “This is not just a political issue, but also a result of deeper problems.”

Senator Dar thanked Saudi Arabia and France for organizing the event. He praised France for recognizing Palestine as a state.

He said Pakistan fully supports the Palestinian right to self-determination and asked the world to take strong action.

“Justice delayed is justice denied,” Dar said. “The time has come for the United Nations to give full membership to the State of Palestine.”

The conference brought together many global leaders who want a peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state plan — one for Israel and one for Palestine.

Clarification on Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s Remarks

Earlier, Dar also talked about a recent controversy regarding Dr Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani woman jailed in the U.S.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Dar said his words were misunderstood.

“My remarks about Dr Aafia Siddiqui are being taken out of context,” he clarified.
