Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan’s security has been stepped up when the actor reported getting death threats to the Mumbai Police. Khan will now have Y+ category protection, according to India Today, after a written complaint was filed alleging that the actor had received death threats following the success of his most recent films, Pathaan and Jawan.
According to the information provided, Y+ security includes the assignment of six personal security officers (PSOs), who work in three shifts around the clock, as well as five armed guards stationed at the person’s home. Salman Khan, a Bollywood actor, too gets Y+ security because the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is under threat.
Khan will reportedly pay for his own improved security detail, according to some reports. The state government will receive the money from the well-known celebrity. Who made the aforementioned threats remains unknown.
Jawan, Khan’s most recent film, has done better than Pathaan, his previous release, and has taken the top rank among Indian films in 2023. On September 7, Jawan, a gripping film about a father and son team dedicated to fight corruption in Indian society, had a record-breaking Bollywood opening day.
Since then, it has racked up a stunning $130.3 million, surpassing Pathaan, which opened in theatres in January, with $126 million, according to Variety. Due to their impressive performances, Jawan and Pathaan are now ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in Indian box office history.
The top film is Dangal (2016), starring Aamir Khan, with an astonishing $244 million, helped greatly by its phenomenal success in China. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), directed by SS Rajamouli, is second with $219 million, and the most recent hit, RRR (2022), is third with $159 million. With a staggering $151 million, Prashant Neel’s K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022) rounds out the top five.
