Sindh CM asks Turkey for assistance in establishing Sufi University

According to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, his administration is trying to stimulate the industrial and agricultural sectors by luring in foreign investment and providing alluring incentives.

He mentioned this while speaking with the consul generals of Russia Andrey Fedorov, Turkey Cemal Sangu, Japan HATTORI Masaru, and China Yang Yundong, each of whom paid him a separate visit here at the CM House.

The general consuls wished him well and congratulated him on becoming the new chief minister. In addition to talking about topics of shared interest, they also talked about delegation exchanges and investments to advance trade and business.

The Karachi Circular Railway, agriculture, and CPEC projects were discussed by the Chinese consul general and chief minister. According to the CM, two of the BRT bus system’s lines are currently being built, while the others have begun service. “The city’s transportation problem would be solved with the construction of the KCR, which would serve as the feeder for the BRT lines,” he stated.

According to the CG, the KCR project is a top priority for the CPEC and will soon be authorized.

Murad said that several agricultural projects were explored and Memorandums of Understanding were signed during President Asif Ali Zardari’s previous administration. The moment has arrived to put agricultural initiatives into action that will use scientific agricultural approaches to increase crop yields.

During his conversation with the general consul of Japan, the chief minister talked about potential business prospects across many industries, such as automotive and electronics. The top officials of the embassy and the Sindh Investment Department agreed to arrange a meeting soon to finalize the sectors for investment.

During their discussion, the Turkish consul general informed the CM that they intended to extend their educational program into the countryside. Turkish schools are now open in Hyderabad, Karachi, and Mirpurkhas.

In order to open additional Turkish schools in rural regions, the chief minister promised to arrange a meeting between the education minister and himself, the consul general.

President Asif Zardari was interested in founding Sufi University at Bhit Shah, according to Murad. He also said that Turkish intellectuals might contribute to the establishment of Sufi universities because Turkey has a significant Sufi tradition. At this point, the CG gave the CM his word that he would set up a group of Sufi academics to travel to Sindh to talk about the Sufi university’s operational procedures in order to forward the university project.
