Leonardo DiCaprio Shares Favorite Role and Biggest Career Regret
Leonardo DiCaprio, currently busy promoting his upcoming action thriller One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, opened up about the movie role he’d love to revisit—even today.
Speaking in a recent interview, the Oscar-nominated actor revealed that playing the corrupt stockbroker Jordan Belfort in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street remains his favorite. “It would be fun to do more Wolf of Wall Street stuff,” DiCaprio said.
However, not every decision in his career has been a highlight. DiCaprio admitted that one of his biggest regrets was turning down the role of adult film star Dirk Diggler in Anderson’s 1997 dramedy Boogie Nights. The role eventually went to Mark Wahlberg.
“I’ll say it even though you’re here: My biggest regret is not doing Boogie Nights. It was a profound movie of my generation,” DiCaprio reflected. “I can’t imagine anyone but Mark in it. When I finally got to see that movie, I just thought it was a masterpiece.”
