Firing Outside Disha Patani’s Home Sparks Tension Over Religious Comments
Mumbai — A recent firing incident outside actress Disha Patani’s residence has stirred tensions, reportedly linked to alleged disrespect toward spiritual leaders Premanand Ji Maharaj and Anirudhacharya Ji Maharaj. The Goldy Brar gang has accused Disha’s sister, Khushboo Patani—a retired army major—of insulting the saints, claiming the family is now under their watch.
Although Disha was not personally involved in the alleged insult, the gang openly admitted to targeting her property. Gang member Veerendra Charan posted online that the attack was in response to perceived disrespect toward their faith, warning that the Patani family would face consequences if similar actions occurred in the future. The gang further indicated that the incident was meant as a message for the entire Bollywood film industry, emphasizing their intent to defend their religion.

Authorities confirmed that the Patani family reported the incident later in the day. Five special teams, including the Special Operations Group, have been tasked with investigating the matter. Security around Disha Patani’s home has been strengthened, with police treating the case as a serious threat connected to organized crime.
Following the attack, Khushboo Patani faced a wave of online abuse. She denied insulting Premanand Ji Maharaj, calling the allegations false and intended to defame her. Khushboo also highlighted controversial remarks by Anirudhacharya Ji Maharaj—also known as Pookie Baba—regarding women in live-in relationships, which have reignited public debate.
The wider controversy began when Anirudhacharya Ji Maharaj suggested at a religious event in Vrindavan that women in modern relationships were unsuitable as daughters-in-law. His comments went viral, drawing both criticism and defense from different sections of the public.
The incident has once again put Disha Patani in the spotlight, though this time due to violent threats linked to criminal gangs and religious disputes. The Goldy Brar gang has signaled that the Bareilly shooting outside her home is just the beginning.
