Doja Cat Turns Heads at MTV VMAs with Lipstick-Shaped Chocolate Stunt
New York – Ahead of the star-studded MTV Video Music Awards at UBS Arena, rapper Doja Cat wowed on the Sunday red carpet in a custom harlequin-inspired Balmain dress. The look was completed with sky-high platform heels, voluminous blonde hair, and a playful lipstick-shaped clutch.
While her outfit and accessories drew attention, it was her signature MAC lipstick, Silky Matte in Lady Danger, that stole the show. During a red carpet touch-up, Doja Cat appeared to take a bite of the iconic red lipstick, leaving fans momentarily stunned.
But the surprise wasn’t quite what it seemed.
MAC Cosmetics confirmed on Instagram that the rapper hadn’t actually eaten her lipstick. Instead, she bit into a specially crafted edible chocolate shaped like a lipstick bullet. The confection, complete with a caramel filling, was made by celebrity pastry chef Amaury Guichon.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes video of the creation, MAC playfully wrote, “You didn’t really think we’d let @dojacat eat Lady Danger…did you? We brought in @amauryguichon to help her bite the Lipstick bullet on the red carpet of music’s biggest night.”
