Capable of displaying both intelligence and attractiveness, Hamza Ali Abbasi is no stranger to the big screen (remember The Legend of Maula Jutt?). Five years later, in December 2023, Hamza returned to television with another outstanding performance as Shahram in Jaan-e-Jahan.
In an interview with Next Level Backstage, Hamza discussed his part and expressed nothing but appreciation for Shahram.
“We needed a character like this in society, and he is so positive,” Hamza said. “To me, being in love and a guy doesn’t only mean accepting love. As a role model, it’s critical to demonstrate that love may entail supporting the goals and aspirations of the one you love.
But Hamza didn’t take long to clarify that Jaan-e-Jahan is more than just a tale of a boy and a girl.
He complimented the writers for their talent and dexterity in crafting a complex plot, explaining that “there are multiple storylines that come together after many delicate manoeuvres.”
Hamza’s favorite scene is the heartbreaking one in which Shahram, portrayed by Asif Raza Mir, learns of his father’s passing. Hamza’s face is a picture of misery and grief, and he brings the drama to life with a horrific display of tears.
“I really had to cry like a kid,” Hamza said in reflection. “My favorite scene was that one.”
Even though he gave his all to his task, Hamza acknowledged that he was the most relaxed member of the ensemble. But neither he nor his colleagues are at all concerned about this.
The actor said, “Everyone is very chilled and laidback.” “There isn’t a hothead on our team, among the actors or crew. Everybody is witty.
Given the relaxed and friendly nature of the team and the hard work of the excellent authors, it is understandable why Hamza was unable to recollect any negative incidents throughout the production. With his onscreen and offscreen brothers, with whom he has an envied relationship and can discuss anything for hours, Hamza hopes that viewers will find his most recent endeavor as enjoyable as he has.
“This package is excellent,” he stated earnestly. “All I really want is for you to enjoy Jan-a-Jahan.”
It’s unlikely that we won’t after hearing such glowing remarks.
