Butchers in Karachi have announced the rates for animal sacrifices for Eid-ul-Adha 2024. According to the Meat Merchants Association, the cost of sacrificing a cow on the first day of Eid will be 20,000 rupees, while the rate for a goat is set at 10,000 rupees.
The association also stated that the price for sacrificing a camel will be 40,000 rupees. Nadeem Qureshi, a representative of the association, mentioned that the rates for sacrifices on the second and third days of Eid will be approximately half of the first day’s rates.
These rates have been released to help people plan their Qurbani arrangements for the upcoming Eid. Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is an important Islamic holiday where Muslims perform the ritual of Qurbani, or animal sacrifice, to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to God.
