Nawaz Sharif, the prime ministerial candidate of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), extended an invitation on Friday to all the parties that won seats in the general elections scheduled for February 8 to join his party and build a government in the upcoming days.
Speaking to Model Town workers on Friday Nawaz Sharif said, “We respect the mandate given to the other parties and individuals, and we welcome them to work for the betterment of pakistan” . Pakistan is for everyone, not only the PML-N. We must cooperate because it is our responsibility.
In what was considered his “victory speech,” Nawaz addressed a packed audience in Lahore’s Model Town, saying, “I have tasked Shehbaz Sharif to meet Fazlur Rehman, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Asif Ali Zardari today.” Nawaz expressed his desire to establish a unity government.
Speaking to employees at Model Town on Friday, he declared that the PML-N honors the mandate of every group, whether it be an individual or a party. “We, along with all parties, will find out a way to bring the country out of the whirlwind,” he stated.
According to PML-N Quaid, the nation cannot afford to hold elections repeatedly. “We do not want to quarrel with those who are in a mood to quarrel with us,” he said.
He extended an invitation to the independent candidates to collaborate with them on improving the nation. “A wealthy nation is the only goal we have. We need cooperation from other parties since we lack the necessary majority to form the government on our own. Shehbaz Sharif has been tasked by me with meeting the allies. He’s going to meet Asif Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif,” he continued.
Nawaz Sharif declared that they will restore happiness and brightness to the nation. “Pakistan’s defence is impregnable and no one can dare to cast an evil eye on it,” he said.
According to him, the nation needs at least ten years to achieve political stability. “We will serve the people in Punjab and the Centre,” he stated.
