Azam Swati is returned to the FIA by a judge for one day.

In a case involving a tweet directed at government institutions, including the army chief, an Islamabad district and sessions court on Saturday granted the Federal Investigation Agency physical remand of PTI Senator Azam Swati for an additional day.

The former minister was transported to the PIMS Hospital earlier that day for a medical assessment.

After which he was brought before the court while being well guarded. After Swati mentioned Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa in a tweet criticising the acquittals of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son in a multibillion-rupee money laundering case, registered on Thursday, the court remanded the PTI lawmaker into FIA custody for two days.
