Before pan-frying, milk, sugar, vanilla, or cinnamon are often added, and then it is topped with sugar (often powdered sugar), butter, fruit, or syrup if served as a sweet dish. It’s usually fried with a pinch of salt or pepper when it’s a savoury dish. With this recipe and some handy hints, you can make the BEST French toast in minutes. This classic French Toast is one of my favourite breakfast recipes, particularly on a lazy weekend morning. This rich and delicious recipe drizzled with warm maple syrup has something special about it! And because I’ve been doing it for so long, I’ve mastered the steps to make it so easy.

French Toast:
I’ve been making this classic French Toast recipe for as long as I can remember. I love that it makes the best French Toast with just a few ingredients that you can customize to your tastes! There are a few basic ingredients that you’ll need.
Ingredients:
- one egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Half teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 slices bread
- 1/4 cup milk
Method:
- Beat an egg, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
- Stir in milk.
- Dip bread in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly.
- Cook bread slices on a lightly greased nonstick griddle or skillet on medium heat until browned on both sides.
- Serve with Easy Spiced Syrup.
- Easy Spiced Syrup: Add 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract and 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon to 1 cup pancake syrup; stir well to mix. Serve warm, if desired.
