Hajj 2026 Payment Plan Announced 18 Pakistanis Died During Hajj 2025

Hajj 2026: Payments in Two Parts

Sources say that people going for Hajj in 2026 will need to pay in two instalments.
The first payment, between Rs500,000 and Rs550,000, is expected in August.

Only people who have already registered for Hajj 2026 can make the payment.

Once enough money is collected to match Pakistan’s Hajj quota, no more payments will be taken.

Only banks approved by the Ministry of Religious Affairs can collect the payments.

So far, over 450,000 Pakistanis have registered for Hajj 2026.
But Pakistan’s current quota is only 179,210 for both public and private Hajj groups.
The government is asking Saudi Arabia to increase the quota to 230,000 because of the country’s growing population.

18 Pakistanis Died During Hajj 2025

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has confirmed that 18 Pakistani pilgrims died during Hajj 2025.
They included 10 men and 8 women, mostly elderly people who died from heart attacks and health problems.

All of them were buried in Jannatul Baqi in Saudi Arabia.

This number is lower than last year’s Hajj in 2024, when 35 Pakistani pilgrims died.

Global Hajj 2025 Stats

A total of 1,673,230 people performed Hajj in 2025.
Out of these, 1,506,576 came from 171 countries.

There were also 166,654 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.
The gender ratio was very balanced: 877,841 men and 795,389 women.

Because of last year’s high death toll of 1,301 due to extreme heat, Saudi authorities made new safety rules.
They added cooling stations, shaded areas, and more medical teams to protect pilgrims from the heat.
They also stopped illegal pilgrims, which made the crowds smaller and safer this year.
