Haris Rauf Out of MLC Playoffs

Haris Rauf Out of MLC Playoffs

Haris Rauf got injured during a recent match against the Texas Super Kings. He had to leave the field in the middle of the game.

Later, an MRI scan showed that he had a muscle strain. Because of this, he will not be able to play in the MLC 2025 playoffs, which start on Tuesday, 8 July, in Grand Prairie, Texas.

At the time of his injury, Haris Rauf was the top bowler of the tournament. He had taken 17 wickets in just 8 matches. His performance was a big reason why his team, the San Francisco Unicorns, has done so well.

The Unicorns still have one more league match left against the LA Knight Riders on 6 July. They have brought in a new player to replace Rauf — Ben Lister, a left-arm fast bowler from New Zealand.

Haris Rauf Injured, Misses MLC Playoffs and Likely to Miss Bangladesh Tour

Lister has played 12 T20 matches for New Zealand. He has already started training with the team and is expected to play right away.

Even though Lister is a good bowler, losing Haris Rauf is a big blow for the Unicorns as they head into the playoffs.

There is also worry that Rauf may not be fit in time for Pakistan’s upcoming T20 series against Bangladesh.

The series has three matches and will begin on 20 July. Pakistan’s team will start training in Karachi on 8 July and then travel to Bangladesh on 16 July.

Sources say Haris Rauf may not recover in time and will likely miss the series. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not made any official statement yet. However, doctors are closely watching his recovery.

If he does not get better, the selectors will pick someone else once they get more medical updates.

Haris Rauf’s injury is a big setback for Pakistan. He was playing well in the MLC, and his fast bowling would have been very useful in the Bangladesh series.

Now, Pakistan will have to adjust their bowling plans just a few weeks before the tour.
