Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid have reportedly received death threats over their support of Palestine

Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid received death threats

In the midst of Israel’s ongoing military offensive in Gaza, the Hadid sisters have taken a very public stand in favor of Palestine. The sister pair is half-Palestinian and was born to Mohamed Hadid, a prominent real estate developer from Nazareth. The family has allegedly been threatened with death for criticizing the Israeli government, according to TMZ.

According to reports, the Hadid family was compelled to alter their phone numbers for their own safety. According to family-friendly sources, Mohamed is also thinking of calling in the FBI to find the people who made the death threats.

Gigi’s Israeli followers have criticized her harshly for her pro-Palestine social media statements. She sent her condolences for the loss of Palestinian and Jewish lives in the ongoing conflict after the October 7 Hamas attack in Southern Israel. She remarked, “I have a responsibility I hold every day: great empathy and grief for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation.

The model, 28, continued, “While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person.” Condemning the attack by Hamas, Gigi highlighted that such terrorist acts cause Palestinian resistance to be mistakenly labeled as anti-Semitic. She later shared a comment disproving opponents who equate anti-Zionism with anti-semitism in an Instagram Story.

“The way the Israeli government treats Palestinians is not Jewish. The post’s message, which prompted the Israeli government to respond angrily, said, “Condemning the Israeli government is not antisemitism and supporting Palestinians is not backing Hamas. The Israeli government responded by asking Gigi, “Have you been sleeping the past week?” in a string of pictures from their official Instagram account.

The messages continued, “Or are you just fine turning a blind eye to Jewish babies being butchered in their homes? “, with a photo of what appeared to be a child’s bloodied bedroom. Your continued silence has made it abundantly clear where you stand. We notice you.

The original story of Gigi was parodied by the Israeli government in a post to the Instagram grid. “Hamas’ murder of Israelis lacks any sense of bravery. Supporting Israelis in their struggle against savage terrorists is the proper thing to do, and condemning Hamas for what it is—ISIS—is not anti-Palestine, the administration wrote.
