In the history of country music, Beyonce breaks a record

On Friday, the day of its release, Beyoncé’s most recent album, Cowboy Carter, is already riding high on the charts.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spotify disclosed that the Grammy-winning musician’s country album became its most-streamed album in a single day of 2024.

This is Queen Bey’s debut album in the country genre, departing from her typical R&B sound. The album is also the second part of a trilogy that may be completed after Renaissance in 2022.

Special partnerships with well-known performers, like Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, and Dolly Parton, are included in Cowboy Carter.

The massive streaming service acknowledged that this was the first time a country music album had a title like this.

In addition to Spotifty, the album—which was made available on Friday—became the singer’s most successful album debut on Amazon Music to date. Additionally, the album got the most number of first-day streams of any country album by a female performer in Amazon Music history.

Taylor Swift appeared to be shattering records last year with the release of her 2023 rerelease of 1989.

Swift had the second-largest album launch of all time and the biggest of 2023, according to Spotify, which withheld the data.
