Recently, Millie Bobby Brown revealed that she and her fiancé Jake Bongiovi are unable to come to an agreement on how to spend their first Christmas together.
“I put up my decorations ahead of Halloween.” Jake strongly opposes that, but does it really matter? stated Millie at a pop-up event for Florence by Mills Coffee, her new coffee line, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
After three years of dating, the pair announced earlier this year that they were engaged. They will spend their first official holiday season together before getting married the following year.
Millie revealed that when it came to holiday preparation, she and Jake had our own customs.
“My tradition is that you have to open a gift, big or small, on Christmas Eve,” the Stranger Things star said. That wasn’t done by Jake.
“I introduced it to Jake and he’s still not really into it,” Millie went on, “but I’m like, ‘You have to open it.'” And he chooses the largest one after that, and I say, “Of course you did.”
Millie shared her thoughts on Christmas, saying, “It’s just where I thrive.” I adore the ornaments and the twinkling lights.
The Enola Holmes actress said, “The holidays are about spending time with your loved ones and seeing family. It’s about having the opportunity to truly reflect and understand how grateful we are to live in a house that’s put together.”
“I just feel really, really grateful and lucky to be able to be under a roof with my family,” Millie continued.
However, Millie and Jake did spend Thanksgiving last month with Jake’s well-known family.
She informed the publication, “Obviously, being British, I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but Jake’s family is American, so they were able to introduce me to what a real American Thanksgiving looked like.
