"The Devil Wears Prada," Anne makes an unexpected confession

Anne Hathaway disclosed that she hasn’t watched her beloved movie The Devil Wears Prada from 2006 in more than 20 years.

The Princess Diaries actress revealed this startling revelation in an interview with Vanity Fair after seeing the well-known office scene in which Meryl Streep’s character Andy is seen with Miranda Priestly.

She revealed “Just so you know, this movie was released much more recently than I was. I haven’t seen this movie in perhaps twenty years, if not more, so this is very fantastic.”

Anne also praised Meryl, the seasoned actress who costarred with her, and her work ethic.

“I was there the first time Meryl walked into that set, and I saw the way she respected the work of our production designer, but also like crafted it into something more like the way she saw the character,” she explained.

Anne continued, saying that she “just wanted to absorb everything” about Meryl’s work, which is why she acted like “a sponge around” the multifaceted actor.

Regarding the film’s enduring impact, Anne said that although she anticipated The Devil Wears Prada would be successful, “I didn’t realize it was gonna leave such a legacy.”
