Actor Huma and Saqib’s Cousin was Fatally Stabbed in Delhi After Asking Teenagers Not to Block the Entrance
New Delhi — Tragedy struck the family of actors Huma and Saqib Qureshi when their elder cousin, 42-year-old Asif Qureshi, was attacked and killed late Thursday night in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi.
According to reports, the incident happened around 10 p.m. when Asif asked two teenagers not to park their two-wheeler in front of his home’s main entrance. The teens, identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), live just a few meters away.
What started as a simple request quickly escalated. Shaheen, one of Asif’s two wives, who runs a chicken business in Delhi, shared the heartbreaking details: “My husband asked them to move the vehicle. One of the boys insulted him and threatened to come back. Within minutes, the two came back and stabbed him with a sharp poker-like weapon.”
Asif suffered serious chest injuries and was rushed to the National Heart Institute in East of Kailash, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Delhi Police have registered a murder case and arrested both accused, recovering the weapon used in the attack.
