Mawra Hocane and Amar Khan React to Humaira Asghar’s Death
Last night, after the sad news of actor Humaira Asghar’s death came out on social media, Mawra Hocane shared a message on her Instagram stories. She offered support to anyone going through emotional or mental struggles and asked them not to stay silent.
She wrote, “If you’re feeling stuck, if your thoughts are overwhelming, if you know me—whether as a close friend or just someone you met—please reach out to me. If you work in the same industry and think I might understand your problems, don’t hesitate.”
Mawra added, “I promise I won’t judge you. I will listen, be kind, and try my best to help. Let’s act like a community again. People need people.”
She also said, “Life is hard, especially for young people. I’m not a mental health expert, but I can be a good listener. If you’re reading this and struggling, I’m sorry. But I promise to be there, InshaAllah.”
She ended with, “Life is the most precious gift from Allah. Don’t feel ashamed to be emotional or vulnerable. We all go through ups and downs. You are not alone.”
On the other hand, actress Amar Khan said Humaira’s death was not only shocking but also deeply upsetting.
“I still remember her saying ‘khush rahein, khush rehne dein’ (stay happy, let others stay happy) on a show,” Amar recalled. “Like many others, she had to face the harsh realities of life, career pressure, and mental stress. Behind the glamour and smiles, many artists silently suffer.”
She added, “Today is a moment to think about the pressure people feel to reach worldly goals—how society judges you for your looks, money, and success.”
Amar gave a special message to young girls: “Don’t be too hard on yourself. Be your best self and leave the rest to God. Your mental health and life matter more than anything else.”
