PM Imran Khan shows up in Saudi Arabia on a three day visit followed by a high-level delegation.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz welcomes Prime Minister Imran Khan on May 7, 2021, at Jeddah International Airport, for his remarkable three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

The premier on Friday arrived in Saudi Arabia on a significant, three-day visit after the Crown Prince of Kingdom Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz invited him.

Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI was given a warm reception by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman at his arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Food Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan went with the premier. Followed by them, Food Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan, and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman went with the premier .

SAPM on Political Affairs Dr. Shahbaz Gill on the microblogging website said that on this Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz rolled out the red carpet for the premiere at the Jeddah air terminal.

Sharing the details prior, Gill had stated that the commitments of the premier would incorporate meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince. It expected that he concluded of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).

Perform Umrah

“He will offer respect to the Roza of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) tomorrow, and will perform Umrah on Sunday in Makkah .”

Similarly, The Foreign Office, in a statement, stated that the Pak-Saudi relationship is set apart by close cooperation in all fields. Besides, both sides shared collaboration on regional and global issues, specifically those confronted by the Muslim Ummah.

While reporting the visit, it said that “Saudi Arabia is an active member of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir,”.

The high-level delegation, including the delegates of the cabinet, joined Prime Minister in this visit.

Chief of Army Staff meets the highest military authorities 

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has already arrived in Saudi Arabia. Also, he has been holding meetings with the highest military authorities. Yet, it is hazy whether they will together attend some of the meetings while on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.

The premier will hold deliberations with the Saudi authority on all areas of mutual partnership. It includes trade, economics, energy, investment, job opportunities, and the welfare of the Pakistani diaspora in the Kingdom.

Likewise, both leaders will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest. Several bilateral agreements/MoUs expected to conclude during the visit,” added the Foreign Office.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to further strengthen, deepen and diversify the existing bilateral political, economics, trade, defense, and security ties.

While, it did not report which agreements/MoUs expected to agree upon. As per the Arab News, both countries will sign a milestone climate deal during the visit.
