Even though Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar have officially ended, the excitement around the lavish event hasn’t subsided. The last Ambani wedding left everyone in awe, from the three Khans of Bollywood showing off their moves together to a detailed guide for guests that circulated online.

Isha Ambani, the groom’s sister, has made headlines with one specific gown among its many displays of star power and extravagance. The daughter of billionaire Mukesh Ambani wore a shirt fashioned of jadau jewelry from her own collection at one of the festivities, while others donned traditional jewelry for the occasion.

The ensemble’s designers, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, took to Instagram to detail the creation of the pieces, which are encrusted with diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and many other valuable stones. The couple, who dressed a number of celebrities for the wedding reception, revealed that the jewelry was a part of Isha’s “personal collection” and had been sewed onto a red cloth foundation in accordance with their design idea.

Sandeep said, “Isha gave all the little bits of jadau jewellery that she owns.” “You name it, it’s there—polki, rubies, diamonds, emeralds.” More information on the manufacturing process may be found in the caption that goes with the image.

The description says, “Some of the pieces are from her personal collection, and new jewels were sourced specifically to be stitched onto the garment from Gujarat and Rajasthan.” The priceless decorations were taken apart and repurposed as couture, with each gem initially set on meticulously crafted paper templates. The wearable piece of art was created by fusing various stitches of gold and silver Zardozi work with the jewelry pieces after rounds of artistic experimentation.

Pre-wedding events began with a concert by Rihanna, which was her first in over seven years. Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan stole the show in the days that followed when they performed together on stage. International popstar Akon performed live during the celebrations, after Diljit Dosanjh.
