Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have been called in for questioning in the high-profile Mahadev betting app case, a startling move that has shocked the entertainment world.

Due to its extensive repercussions and the involvement of several well-known individuals, the case has captured public interest. The “Mahadev” mobile application was used by a network of people to run a betting ring, which was uncovered by India’s law enforcement officials. The program apparently handled big sums of money and allowed users to wager on a variety of athletic events, including cricket matches.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has most recently added Shraddha and Ranbir to its list of actors who have been called in for questioning. The investigation agency had earlier on Thursday summoned comedian Kapil Sharma for attending the app’s victory party in Dubai as well as Huma Qureshi and Hina Khan for allegedly endorsing it.

According to Hindustan Times, Ranbir, who was called in on Wednesday, asked the investigation agency for two weeks to prepare for his appearance. The ED hasn’t made up its mind about whether or not to give the actor that time. Ranbir, however, has not been called in as an accuser but rather to determine whether he is aware of the source of the funding for the betting app.

The summons sent to Ranbir and Shraddha Kapoor have caused controversy in the media and among their supporters. According to a News 18 story, the actors have been summoned to go before the investigators to provide their statements and perhaps throw light on any knowledge or involvement they may have in the case.

The Bollywood star served as a social media influencer for the online betting site and, according to rumors, was compensated for his efforts in promoting the app.

Remember that receiving a summons does not constitute guilt. The actors are being questioned as prospective witnesses or as people who may know something about the situation. However, this development has generated a lot of rumors and media interest.

Celebrities have frequently been involved in legal disputes, and frequently, their involvement has been incidental and connected to their affiliations or endorsements. Ranbir and Shraddha may have been summoned due to their public appearances or professional affiliations, which may have unintentionally connected them to the betting app.
