INFJ- What does it mean? Who am I really?

Again INFJ?

If you’re consistently reading my articles, you’ll know what INFJ is. If not, never fear. I’ve always got you covered. In this article, I’ll explore INFJ in depth. Now, you might ask… why am I so obsessed with INFJ personality. Well, read my profile description please.

So, I’m gonna share some insights into INFJ personality type. Furthermore, I’ll tell you what the researchers say about this personality type as well as what I’ve personally experienced. As they say, we all have a right to speak our minds. Okay. Let’s get started!!

What Researchers Say About INFJ

Firstly, some basics. Something familiar. INFJ is one of the 16 personality types. Scoring as an INFJ means your personality type is best described as Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging.

Secondly, it is referred to as the “Advocate” or the “Idealist”. In fact, people with this personality type often feel misunderstood. Perhaps it’s because they’re the rarest MBTI personality type, making up only 1% to 3% of the U.S. population. Or maybe it’s because they’re walking, talking contradictions. Furthermore, they’re easy-going perfectionists. Both logical and emotional, creative and analytical. Sure you don’t love us yet?

Career Choices

I guess I’m hoping to find another INFJ somewhere. Why? Because I haven’t found any yet. So, career choices. Now, there’s plenty of choices that an INFJ can adopt. But, we fit in where we can express our creativity. Therefore, INFJs often do best in careers that mix their need for creativity with their desire to make meaningful changes in the world.

Also, we are usually over-achievers and excel in academics and the workplace. OF COURSE And, we are perfectionists. Moreover, we tend to put a great deal of effort into their work. Co-workers tend to feel that INFJs are hardworking, positive, and easy to get along with. So, a win-win for anyone who wants to hire us. Moreover, some popular professions you might see us in include: psychologist (fun fact: INFJs are the town’s unofficial therapist that never charge a single cent), artist, teacher, writer (it should be common sense now), photographer, and librarian.

My Personal Experience

So, as an INFJ, I feel entitled to share my opinions. But, don’t think everything I share is set in stone. People change and so do opinions. I mean, I’ve changed my favorite flower about thrice in the last few seven months. Anyway, these points reflect my personal experience as an INFJ.
Firstly, we spend copious amounts of time into understanding our feelings. And, to do this properly, we need ALONE TIME.
Next, we are WALKING CONTRADICTIONS. We want to be noticed and appreciated but can’t handle being the spotlight of attention at ALL TIMES. Like, bro. Give us some space. Also, we are logically oriented but will abandon any reasoning if our intuition kicks in and says… nope, this ain’t it. Additionally, this trait becomes so intertwined with our souls that we sometimes feel as if we are two different people trapped inside the same body.

Now, this is where it gets a little emotional. REMEMBER THIS. We will never tolerate someone else dismissing our feelings and opinions. If you do this, please prepare your funeral. Also, we don’t like it when someone tries to be fake or picks on a defenseless person.

INFJs at our WORST

Now, there are ALWAYS two sides to a story. Right? YES. So, even if iNFJs are good at reading emotions and love helping others out, we all have our BAD DAYS. But, the question here is what does a bad day look like for an INFJ? Well, let me candid about the matter. At our worst, we’re likely to be judgy, make excuses for our wrong actions (we know they’re wrong but we’re gonna find some loophole anyway), constantly change our personality, OVERTHINK everything and be indifferent to those around us. So, some advice. Stay safe around a moody INFJ. If not, well, you’re gonna wish you heeded my words of wisdom.

So… you think you got us figured out yet?
