Saudi Arabia sends 100 tons of dates to Pakistan

An abundance of dates, one hundred tons in all, have been kindly provided by Saudi Arabia to Pakistan in advance of the holy month of Ramadan, a momentous time for Muslims global. Muslims observe fasting throughout Ramadan, abstaining from food and liquids from sunrise to sunset, as a sign of dedication and self-control. The month begins with the new moon sighting and ends with the festive celebration of Eid Al-Fitr.

This kind gesture was sent by the Saudi embassy, which also expressed Saudi Arabia’s delight at helping Pakistan. This kind donation was suggested by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who emphasized the value of cooperation and support among Muslim countries.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center’s Abdullah Al-Baqami and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki formally handed over the dates at the presentation event in Islamabad.

The donation’s statement stressed that these dates are meant to be enjoyed by Pakistanis throughout Ramadan, signifying the long-standing friendship and solidarity between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Beyond this altruistic deed, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have close relationships marked by active trade, defense collaboration, and fraternity. With more than 2.7 million Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia, their remittance contributions are vital to Pakistan’s economy and deepen the country’s relationship with it.

This important act of kindness represents the long-lasting alliance and mutual respect between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and the compassion and unity that are valued by both nations.
