The first episode of Channel 4’s “Cabin Fever” focused on Epic Retreats, a groundbreaking hotel that was infamous for “disappearing.” The show follows the artistic process of eight architectural teams that were entrusted with creating custom glamping units for this one-of-a-kind pop-up hotel. It will be shown in three stunning locations in Wales from June to September.

The project called for world-class architects to create cabins inspired by Welsh mythology, customs, and scenic beauty. It was designed as a part of the celebrations for Wales’s Year of Legends in 2017.

The resulting lodgings, which have details like a dragon’s eye, allusions to the nation’s long history of slate mining, and stories from King Arthur legends, are a tribute to the varied themes.

Less than 200 reservations were made available for the project in order to maintain exclusivity, and those who were lucky enough to get one were promised an elegant and unique glamping experience.
