With its nearly 5,000-year history of delivering water, the Zamzam Well holds significant religious importance in Islam. The distance between it and the Kaaba is 21 meters.
Because the water is so pure and free of dirt and insects, people think it’s a miracle. It tastes different from ordinary water because it contains more natural minerals.
Over the years, the well has been well-maintained by people. Its diameter varies from 1.08 to 2.66 meters, and its depth is around 31 meters. Two springs supply the water: one originates from Mount Abu Qubais, and the other from the direction of the Kaaba. The Zamzam Well is respected and seen as something very special by the locals.
