Islamabad KP Hit by 5.2 Earthquake

Earthquake Tremors Felt Across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

ISLAMABAD – Residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced sudden tremors on Monday, causing panic and fear among the population. Cities reporting the tremors include Abbottabad, Mansehra, Mingora, Chitral, Swat, Battagram, Malakand, Haripur, and Khanpur.

Many people rushed out of their homes and offices as a precaution, with some reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba in fear.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured a magnitude of 5.2, with its epicenter in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region at a depth of 190 kilometers.

Authorities have confirmed that, so far, there are no reports of casualties or property damage.

This is not the first time Pakistan has felt tremors this year. In June, parts of Sindh and Balochistan also experienced earthquakes, with Mirpur Khas recording a 3.5 magnitude quake, Gwadar experiencing tremors of 3.0, and Mirpur Sakro registering a 3.1 magnitude quake.
