Israel's Targeted Attack in Quneitra Disrupting Hezbollah's Operations

The attack was carried out near Quneitra, under the pretext of disrupting Hezbollah’s presence in Syria.

Jahout reportedly acted as a key intermediary, relaying intelligence gathered from Syrian regime sources to Hezbollah, facilitating the group’s operations in the Golan Heights.

While Hezbollah and Syrian officials have yet to respond to Israel’s claim, Syria’s state news agency SANA confirmed an Israeli attack in Quneitra, reporting the death of a Syrian internal security officer.

No further details were provided.

The Israeli army has been attacking Syria since 2011, targeting Iranian forces, Hezbollah operatives, and Syrian government assets involved in activities hostile to Israel.

Despite these setbacks, Hezbollah maintains that its military capabilities remain intact.

According to Hezbollah’s deputy leader Naim Qassem, the group has sustained “painful blows” but insists that its forces are still operational and capable of retaliating against Israel.

Israel has deployed several army divisions into southern Lebanon in recent weeks, continuing its invasion alongside air attacks, including in Beirut’s civilian residential areas.
