Three Jaffer Express Coaches Derailed Near Jacobabad
On Monday morning, three coaches of the Jaffer Express train went off the track near Jacobabad, between Sultan Kot and Jacobabad.
According to railway officials, the derailment was caused by a technical problem. A loud noise during the incident created fear among the local people, who first thought it was an act of sabotage.
Later, a terrorist group claimed responsibility for the incident. However, a railway spokesperson said their claims should not be taken seriously and stressed that the incident was due to a fault in the system, not an attack.
The spokesperson also said it’s important to investigate anyone who supports such groups. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.
The Jaffer Express was traveling from Peshawar when the derailment happened.
