Julia Fox Opens Up About Past Cosmetic Procedures and Embracing Aging
Julia Fox has opened up about her past cosmetic procedures and the pressures she felt to appeal to the male gaze.
In a candid interview with Allure magazine, the model and actress reflected on her earlier choices. “It’s super important when you become famous or a public figure to be transparent,” she told the outlet.
The Uncut Gems star admitted she once prioritized looking attractive for men. “I was so hung up on this idea that I needed to be attractive to men so that I could survive,” said the 35-year-old. She added that she now admires people who have never altered their appearance: “Now, when I see someone and I can tell they’ve never done anything… I could go back and be that person.”
Julia has previously undergone Botox, liposuction, a rhinoplasty, and veneers, but she says she has no immediate plans for more procedures. “I probably will [get more work done one day], but I’m just not as concerned with it right now,” she explained.
The Presence actress also shared her thoughts on aging. While she prefers to embrace it, she admits to moments of fear. “That’s what I think I’m the most scared of, feeling old, and there are times where I feel old… tired, over it, disillusioned,” she said.
Reflecting on the future, Julia asked herself whether she should chase her younger appearance or evolve naturally. “Am I going to chase the way I used to look, or am I going to evolve and see what’s on the other side? It could be something different, and I’m choosing to go that way. I just want to see who’s there waiting for me. It’ll be uncomfortable, but I think I’m ready for it,” she added.
