KARACHI – The final charge sheet and forensic report have been submitted in court in the case of the suicide attack near Karachi airport last year, where two Chinese citizens were killed.
The Sindh High Court has now asked the authorities to give copies of the report to the lawyers of the accused. The hearing on the bail request has been postponed until August 7.
Police said that the two accused, Gul Nisa and Javed, helped the suicide bomber who attacked a vehicle carrying Chinese nationals near the airport in October 2024. Both suspects are in police custody.
CTD submits the final challan in the Chinese nationals attack case
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) had earlier submitted the final challan in the Anti-Terrorism Court. According to the report, the suicide bombing killed two Chinese nationals and a local citizen. Six others, including a woman, were injured.
The CTD said the main planners of the attack—Commander Bashir Baloch alias Bashir Zaib and Abdul Rehman alias Rehman Gul—are still on the run. They are accused of brainwashing the bomber, Shah Fahad, to carry out the deadly attack.
This incident raised serious concerns about the safety of foreign workers in Karachi, especially those involved in development projects.
