Karachi to See Light Rain After Scorching Heat

Karachi is set to experience some relief from the scorching heat on Tuesday evening, with light rainfall expected after a hot start to the day, the Meteorological Department reported.

According to the weather authorities, parts of the city could witness light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms.

The Met Office has also forecast light to moderate rainfall in the southeastern districts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday. While most areas of the province will remain hot and humid, districts including Thar Parkar, Umarkot, Badin, Sujawal, and Sanghar may see some rain, offering a brief respite from the heat.

In Karachi, clouds are expected to form in the afternoon or evening following the intense heat on September 30, with maximum temperatures likely to reach 35–37°C.

The Met Office added that a low-pressure system, which developed over the Bay of Bengal, is moving toward the Arabian Sea. This system could affect southeastern Sindh and coastal areas, including Karachi, before reaching Kachh in India’s Gujarat, influencing the weather in parts of the province.
