Man Fires at University Bus After Road Dispute, Later Arrested

KARACHI – A man named Bilal Ahmed opened fire on a University of Karachi (UoK) bus near the NED University bridge after a road dispute.

CCTV footage showed Bilal’s car overtaking the university bus and then blocking its way. When the bus driver honked, Bilal did not move. The driver got out to ask what the problem was. In response, Bilal pointed a pistol at the bus twice.

On the third horn, he fired two shots. One bullet hit the windshield of the bus, but luckily, no students were hurt.

After the firing, Bilal escaped from the area. Later, the University of Karachi sent a letter to the Rangers, asking for help.

A special wing of the Rangers launched an operation in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and arrested Bilal. He has now been handed over to the police, who say strict legal action will be taken.

CTD Kills 3 TTP Terrorists in Manghopir Operation

In another incident, Karachi’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) raided a house in the Manghopir area and killed three terrorists linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The raid was based on intelligence reports. According to DSP Raja Umar Khattab, the terrorists fired at the police from inside the house. In return fire, all three terrorists were killed.

Two of them were identified as Zafran and Qudratullah. Zafran was a high-value target with a Rs20 million bounty on his head.

The third terrorist’s identity is still being confirmed. CTD says one of them was a suicide bomber and the group was involved in last year’s attack on Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
